$124,000-$177,000 per annum New York, United States Permanent Senior Associate - Model Validation & AI GovernanceHybrid - 3 days onsite in New YorkWe’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our client's team as a Senior Associate - Model Validation & AI Governance. In this role, you’ll act as a critical peer reviewer for models developed by data scientists—ensuring they are robust, compliant, and free from bias before going into production.What You’ll DoReview and test machine learning and statistical models prior to deploymentEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on bias and fairnessCollaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, and product/project managersCommunicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking ForStrong technical expertise (Python preferred; R or other statistical languages considered with solid AI knowledge)Advanced degree (Master’s minimum; PhD in Statistics strongly preferred)Experience in model validation, ideally within banking or financial servicesData scientists with a strong interest in model validation are also encouraged to applyExcellent collaboration and communication skillsWhat Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)Quickly understand the models and workflows, particularly within the life insurance domainBuild strong working relationships across teams and with leadershipBegin contributing to and delivering impactful validation projectsWork EnvironmentHybrid setup with a preference for candidates who can be in the office three days per week in New YorkIf you’re passionate about responsible AI, model integrity, and working at the intersection of data science and governance, we’d love to hear from you.
