Tech Dosimetrist

Job Summary:

The Dosimetrist will collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop precise treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role requires technical expertise in dose calculation and treatment planning to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Interpret radiation prescriptions and translate them into accurate treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Utilize treatment planning software to calculate radiation doses and simulate treatment fields.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the oncology team to review and adjust treatment plans for safety and efficacy.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and industry standards during treatment planning.
  
  
• 
  Document all treatment plans and modifications accurately in patient records.
  
  
• 
  Assist in quality assurance procedures to verify correct dose delivery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  A minimum of 2 years of experience in spirality or related treatment planning systems.
  
  
• 
  Current AHA BLS certification is required.
  
  
• 
  Proven expertise in radiation dose calculation and treatment planning.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of radiation oncology principles and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Excellent attention to detail and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  
  
• 
  Previous experience working in a fast-paced oncology environment preferred.
