San Francisco restaurant Julius Castle is excited to announce we are hiring for our reopening! Built over a century ago, Julius Castle has long been one of San Francisco’s most iconic dining destinations, known for combining dramatic panoramic views with stunning historic architecture unlike any other restaurant in the city. For generations, visitors from across the San Francisco Bay Area Area and around the world have celebrated their most important occasions there, creating stories and memories that have lasted lifetimes. Its revival brings back a beloved landmark that represents the very best of San Francisco history. Our Chef, General manager, and a few other key pieces are already on board — now we're building the team that will bring the dream to reality. Guest Experience & Service Excellence Maintain formal service standards within the assigned station Execute and communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, and celebrations Address guest concerns professionally and involve management or supervisors when necessary Guide guests through menu selections and offerings Practice proper suggestive selling techniques Maintain a strong awareness of guest satisfaction throughout service Mastery of Julius Castle's food and beverage menus, including potential allergens. 2. Service Leadership & Team Support Servers support teammates through experience and leadership by example: Assist fellow servers, SAs, runners, and hosts as needed to maintain service flow as part of the Tip Pool Support team coordination during busy service periods Demonstrate proper service etiquette and procedures Help new team members learn service standards through mentorship and example 3. Knowledge & Skillset A passion for hospitality and guest experience Exceptional communication skills Strong knowledge of service SOPs and professionalism Ability to perform proper wine service by Julius Castle SOPs Knowledge of classic wine, spirits, cocktails, and culinary ingredients Nuanced detail and observation Calm and composed presence under pressure Professional appearance and demeanor 4. Sanitation & Safety Ensure compliance with California food safety regulations and local health department requirements Maintain HACCP procedures, temperature controls, labeling, and food storage systems Ensure kitchen cleanliness and safe equipment operation Promote workplace safety practices Server success is measured by maintaining full responsibility for their assigned station, guest satisfaction, team communication and minimizing errors to assist in smooth service flow and higher sales. A growth mindset and positive attitude will contribute to success measures. Additional Responsibilities Due to the nature of the historic Julius Castle building there are additional physical requirements needed to perform the duties of this position.
