Description:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician through IAHCSMM or CBSPD is mandatory.
A valid BLS certification is also required.
The technician will be responsible for using equipment such as Steris and Sterad.
Common duties include disinfecting patient equipment and sterilizing supplies utilizing methods like high-level disinfection, VP plasma, and steam sterilization.
The role does not require floating to other departments.
Shifts are 8 hours long, from 1445 to 2315.
The position offers guaranteed hours of 40 hours per week.
The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment.
The charting system used is Cerner.
This position is within an acute care setting.
The trauma level for this role is 2.
