Role Description The Banquet Captain is a full-time, on-site role located in Durham, NC, responsible for leading banquet events from setup through breakdown. This role oversees banquet staff during events, ensuring proper table settings, food and beverage service, and adherence to event specifications and standards. The Banquet Captain coordinates with the culinary team, event planners, and hotel management to confirm timelines, address guest needs, and resolve issues promptly. Daily tasks include monitoring service quality, coaching team members, managing shift assignments, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in all banquet areas. The role also involves accurate execution of banquet orders, post-event review, and supporting continuous improvement of service delivery. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, staff coordination, and training. Candidates should possess Food Service and Food & Beverage skills, with experience in banquet or restaurant operations. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills focused on providing courteous, responsive, and professional guest interactions. Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for coordinating with staff, management, and event partners. Relevant qualifications include prior banquet or hospitality leadership experience, knowledge of safety and sanitation standards, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with banquet event orders (BEOs), basic POS system experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework or certifications are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
