Job Description

This role provides onsite first aid and health support within a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team that is dedicated to protecting the safety and well-being of employees. The Onsite Medical Representative independently assesses and administers first aid, guides employees on occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, and supports injury prevention efforts across the site. The position works closely with WHS leadership and safety committees, contributes to case management and return-to-work programs, and helps promote a culture of health, wellness, and safety through daily engagement on the operations floor.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess and administer first aid to employees for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Provide first aid support and make timely referrals to outside medical providers when appropriate.
• Offer health and wellness guidance to employees and advocate for safe work practices on a daily basis.
• Participate in weekly associate safety committee meetings and engage with new hires to introduce safety and wellness resources.
• Participate in weekly case management review meetings as needed to support injured employees and coordinate care.
• Minimize the risk of injury by raising awareness, providing education, and proactively engaging employees on safe work habits.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to employees.
• Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for employees with work-related injuries.
• Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports to document care and safety activities.
• Engage with employees and site leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching on observed at-risk work behaviors and body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean and orderly medical workspace and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is stocked and available.
• Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.
• Maintain all required first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials in good standing.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures.
• Support effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response activities at the site.
• Work flexible shifts, including potential days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as required by operational needs.
• Learn and apply OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and analysis in daily practice.
• Function as part of the onsite WHS team to support overall safety operations and first aid needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from a Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
• Ability to obtain an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of start date if not already held.
• Ability to independently assess and administer first aid for a variety of injuries and illnesses.
• Capability to maintain accurate medical and safety records and daily activity logs.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Comfort working in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions.

• Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in an industrial wellness or occupational health program.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching employees on proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes.
• Proficiency in digital record keeping and documentation systems.
• Recent experience (within the last year) in roles such as Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coach and engage employees and leadership.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Workplace Health & Safety team.
• Commitment to promoting health, wellness, and a strong safety culture in a fast-paced environment.

The role is based onsite in an industrial operations setting and is part of a Workplace Health & Safety team focused on supporting a large workforce. Training typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the regular shift to be determined based on site needs. The position requires flexibility to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends. The work environment includes time spent on the operations floor and in a dedicated medical area, with exposure to variable noise levels and changing temperatures, including outdoor loading areas where weather conditions may affect the workspace. The role involves frequent walking, standing for up to 12 hours, climbing and descending stairs where applicable, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds and frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. The setting is fast-paced and safety-focused, with access to medical supplies, first aid equipment, CPR and AED devices, and digital tools for documentation and reporting. Employees follow appropriate attire and safety guidelines consistent with an industrial and clinical-support environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
