Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator will oversee inventory management and logistics functions for Outgoing Shipments. Position Responsibilities Schedules shipments to ensure delivery in accordance with contractual delivery schedules and requirements. Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate Packaging and Shipping personnel. Departmental liaison to the Quality and Contracts Departments. Monitors inventory via an enterprise resource planning system or similar control system. Assists stakeholders with order status inquiries and special customer needs. Creates Packaging/Shipment Packets for all outgoing production material. Responsible for resolution of all outgoing delivery issues. Analyzes inventory and end of line procedures; recommends updates and improvements to the Packaging Supervisor. Reviews Contract documents for Shipping Requirements and communicates necessary changes to Packaging Team. Accesses Customer Portals to fulfil contractual Shipping requirements. Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization. Skills & Abilities Ability to analyze contracts for customer (prime) and DoD logistics to ensure delivery compliance Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extensive knowledge of export regulations and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with computerized distribution systems. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience in a Packaging/Shipping operation of Defense deliverables required. 5+ years of experience with Defense Contract, FAR and DFARS review and compliance required. Work Environment Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hours 6:00 - 3:30, Monday through Thursday; every other Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed. 9/80 work schedule.
