Job Details: Job Location: TVT Community Day School - Irvine, CA 92603, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $32.00 - $42.00 Hourly, The Human Resources Specialist supports the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources programs and services across TVT Community Day School. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position supports employees throughout the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee changes, and offboarding. The HR Generalist serves as an accessible and responsive resource for employees while helping ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and consistently administered. This role requires strong organization, discretion, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach. Essential Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Support Serve as a day-to-day HR resource for employees regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, Paycom, and general employment questions. Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee changes, leaves, and offboarding. Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR data. Support consistent and timely administration of HR programs and practices. Payroll, Benefits & HR Systems Support payroll and timekeeping processes, including employee changes, compensation updates, and review of payroll information. Assist employees with benefits, enrollment, time-off, and general payroll questions. Maintain accurate employee information and workflows within Paycom. Support benefits administration, Open Enrollment, and coordination with benefit vendors. Recruitment & Onboarding Support recruitment and hiring, including job postings, applicant tracking, candidate communication, offers, and pre-employment requirements. Coordinate new hire onboarding, documentation, clearances, required training, and Paycom setup. Support New Hire Orientation and a welcoming transition into the TVT community. Compliance & HR Programs Support compliance with employment requirements, TVT policies, required documentation, certifications, training, and employee records. Assist with Culture and Wellness initiatives, employee recognition, and other HR programs. Employee Experience & Process Improvement Provide responsive, thoughtful, and service-oriented support throughout the employee experience. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and employee resources. Leverage Paycom and other technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. Support HR reporting and other departmental priorities as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Three or more years of Human Resources experience preferred. Experience supporting multiple areas of HR, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee administration. California HR experience is strongly preferred. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paycom experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information. Collaborative, approachable, and service-oriented working style.
