Job Description Job Description _ ** Insurance Defense Attorney - Construction Litigation **_ ** Location: White Plains, NY | Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote ** Malapero Prisco & Klauber LLP is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation / Insurance Defense Attorney to join our growing litigation practice in White Plains, NY. We are looking for an attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience , with particular interest in candidates who have handled construction accident claims, New York Labor Law matters, insurance defense, general liability, premises liability, or motor vehicle litigation. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. What You'll Do Independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution Handle construction accident and general liability litigation Analyze and defend claims involving New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240 and 241 Draft and argue motions and other substantive legal documents Manage discovery and conduct depositions Handle court appearances throughout NYC, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients and insurance carriers Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations and trial preparation Take ownership of assigned matters while working collaboratively with partners and the litigation team Ideal Background We are particularly interested in attorneys with experience in one or more of the following: Construction accident litigation New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240 and 241 Insurance defense litigation General liability litigationPremises liability Motor vehicle / automobile liability Personal injury defense Construction-related claims Motion practice, discovery and depositions ** 3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
