Organ Procurement Specialist
The Organ Procurement Specialist is responsible for the preparation, operation, and monitoring of organ preservation systems used during donor organ recovery and transportation. This role works closely with transplant surgeons, organ procurement organizations (OPOs), and transplant coordinators to optimize donor organ preservation and support successful transplantation outcomes. Among the job functions include: travel to donor hospitals for organ procurement procedures; prepare, manage, and troubleshoot perfusion solutions, preservation techniques, and recovery equipment; assist with initiation, monitoring, and maintenance of organ preservation techniques, including ex vivo heart and lung perfusion systems, where applicable; collect and document hemodynamic, metabolic, and laboratory data through transplant; and collaborate with transplant surgeons, anesthesiologists, and procurement teams during donor organ recovery.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Perfusion, Cardiovascular Science, or related field
- 2 years of experience in ICU, CVICU, OR or related field required. 5 years preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Certification through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Certified Clinical Perfusionist-CCP) preferred
- Registered Nurse (Preferred)

Salary Range: Minimum $45.28/hour - Maximum $74.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
