What we are looking forThe Charles River Development (CRD) Middle Office Product Team is seeking an experienced Product Owner and corporate actions expert to lead our corporate actions product development team. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and owning the strategic roadmap for the corporate actions product, and partner with engineering to deliver against it. You will act as a Charles River product expert and help to ensure that our software effectively supports our end users with their corporate actions and broader middle office workflows. You will be a leader in the full software development lifecycle, including managing business analysts within a feature-focused product development team. By joining the Middle Office team, you will use advanced technology and critical thinking to challenge the status quo and drive results.What you are responsible forResponsibilities:Apply detailed knowledge and understanding of corporate actions in the investment lifecycle to own the planning and delivery of the product roadmap.Work directly with clients, sales, professional services, implementation, and support teams to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications.Perform competitive analysis and keep track of industry and regulatory trends to incorporate into the product roadmap.Partner with Engineering and QA to develop, implement, and refine featuresPlan and execute large, complex product development initiatives and handle associated project management tasks.Work with other product teams on cross-product initiatives and effectively manage dependencies.Represent the corporate actions product in sales exercises and client implementations to ensure continued growth and success of the product.Assist with support issues, ensure timely resolution, and translate issues into features / bugs where appropriate.Produce and maintain product documentation and client-facing sales and educational materials.Lead a team of business analysts, directing their work and supporting their developmentTake a leadership role in the agile software development process and adhere to the CRD Scrum MethodologyRequirements:10+ years of software development lifecycle experience, specifically Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools such as JiraStrong domain in expertise in Corporate Actions, including all event types, market data, election workflows, and processing standardsExperience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps and prioritization, and reliably delivering against plans and commitmentsComfortable working with clients, explaining product capabilities, and understanding complex requirementsDemonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documentsAbility to take a highly organized and detail-oriented approach to the product development lifecycle.A desire to take an ownership mindset, leadership skills, and a proven track record managing and mentoring business analysts.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed informationStrong analytical skills, including understanding complex data sets and the ability to reconcile conflicting dataStrong technical background, including familiarity with relational database (SQL,Postgres) and knowledge of cloud architectureKnowledgeable in one or more CRD functional areas and/or State Street Alpha desirableEducation: BS Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or study of Business with an MIS background. MS/MBA is preferable.Salary Range: $110,000 - $188,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
