Whether you're into breaking news, TikTok-style storytelling, sports coverage, or snapping compelling photos, The Lions' Pride Media Group wants you to be on the team.Job DescriptionThe Lions’ Pride Media Group is looking to fill the following positions:Staff Writers, Editors, CopyeditorsMultimedia Writers/Creators/Designers (video, audio, slide shows, etc.)Computer Programmers for online websitePhotographers and VideographersAdvertising, Marketing, and Fundraising RepresentativesManaging Financial Editor (analyzes data, reports financial performance, helps prepare budgets, and monitors costs)Layout and Design for the print issues. Knowledge of InDesign or willingness to learnWhat You'll Do:As a student journalist/content creator, you'll be part of a dynamic team producing journalism that informs, inspires, and amplifies student voices across campus. Duties include:Report and write articles covering campus news, student life, arts, sports, social issues, and moreAttend campus events (day or night) and generate digital content, including photos, videos, and social media postsConduct interviews with students, faculty, and guests; you’ll get to meet people and tell their storiesPitch original ideas and follow through to publication – either print or digitalWork across platforms: print, web, video, and social mediaMeet weekly deadlines and attend team meetings (weekly meetings required unless excused for class)Whether you see yourself in a newsroom, marketing agency, creative studio, or leadership role someday, this job builds skills that matter in the professional world, such as communication, team work, and leadership.What We’re Looking ForYou don’t need to be an expert yet.
