• Licenses/Certifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-training and float capabilities to Adult ICU and Med/Tele preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $53.60
• Pay package discussed upon application
• Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
• Perform PIV placement, CVL care, telemetry monitoring, and wound care
• Collect peripheral blood draws, assist with drains and wound vacs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, hospitalists, RTs, and resource nurses
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Follow hospital protocols and safety procedures
• Participate in unit orientation and complete two shifts on the unit before starting independently
• Work every other weekend, with some holiday coverage, and flexible time-off options

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience; ability to float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele preferred
• Strong skills in PIV, CVL, telemetry, and titration of medications
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam and demonstrate proficiency with critical care procedures
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
