Are you an experienced cardiac or acute care nurse looking to grow your expertise in a high-acuity intermediate care environment? Join the 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care Unit, located on the 7th floor of the Heart and Vascular Hospital.

This 24-bed intermediate care unit provides care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions and multiple co-morbidities. Our team thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care are at the center of everything we do.

Unit Overview

The 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Unit provides intermediate-level care for patients with:

• Heart failure
• Dysrhythmias
• Myocardial infarctions
• Pre- and post-cardiac and vascular procedures
• Medical patients with significant cardiac histories and complex co-morbidities

Each patient room is equipped with GE bedside monitors and in-room computers, supporting advanced patient monitoring and real-time documentation.

Care is delivered through a collaborative interdisciplinary team model, including Clinical Nurses, APPs, physicians, pharmacists, care managers, chaplains, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, and specialized telemetry technicians in the Telemetry Command Center, providing continuous rhythm surveillance and clinical support.
