Chief Operating Officer

Chief Operating OfficerTerrific Chief Operating Officer ("COO") position with a highly regarded nonprofit based in Virginia. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will lead global mission delivery across a diverse team and oversee a $75M operating budget. This role will have responsibility for continuous improvement, innovation, and the quality and impact of the organization's programs and services.Responsibilities:Lead global delivery of the organization's programs and servicesDevelop and implement strategies that focus on mission delivery, operational excellence, and impactOversee global field operations, including a dispersed workforce and volunteer baseUtilize data and measurable insights to inform strategy and program effectivenessAssess organizational effectiveness and ensure resources are aligned with areas of most needLead the creation of new programs and servicesPartner with the CEO and Leadership Team on organizational strategic plansQualifications:15+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years of executive leadership experienceBachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferredExperience leading large and geographically dispersed teamsDemonstrated track record managing large budgets and significant resourcesStrong data-driven approach to strategy and decision-makingUnderstanding of and experience with military culture, organizations, and related dynamicsNonprofit experience is a plusAbility to travel internationally and domesticallyEqual Opportunity Employer.
