About The Link The Link is a community triage center located in Sioux Falls that assists individuals who are experiencing a non-violent behavioral health crisis, seeking treatment for substance abuse disorders, or searching for support services. As a community triage center, The Link helps meet the individual's needs for critical services and connects them to care for mental health or substance abuse challenges. Unit Highlights Opportunity to work with 20 different staff members. Collaborate with Physicians, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Paramedics, Triage Techs, Social Workers, and Behavioral Health Techs. Self-scheduling program. Student loan repayment: extra monthly payment of $167 (up to $10,000). Shift Schedule 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 3rd weekend/holiday; 72 hrs per 2 weeks. What You’ll Do Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses and care plans, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Review physician prescriptions and coordinate care with other healthcare providers. Obtain medical histories, examine patients, document clinical findings, and confer with family. Teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care. Evaluate patient care by measuring outcomes against standards, reviewing records and adjusting care plans. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and drug regulations. Chart patient care services in records and keep supplies and equipment ready and functional. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Ability to work the specified hours and perform all essential job functions. Visually adequate acuity and effective communication skills. Required Education & Certification Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license; active license in state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education & Experience 1-3 years of clinical experience.
