Plant Controller Location: Warsaw, Indiana Type: Contract for 6 months Department: Finance Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) FLSA Classification: Exempt Potential MIP Eligibility: Yes Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (additional hours as business needs require) Position Summary The Plant Controller serves as a key member of the plant leadership team and is responsible for providing financial leadership, analysis, and operational support to drive sound business decisions and improve overall profitability. This role oversees all plant financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, inventory management, and financial controls while partnering closely with operations management. Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial reporting, accounting activities, and internal controls for the assigned manufacturing facility. Monitor daily financial performance and provide insights to achieve short- and long-term business objectives. Lead and continuously improve the finance function within the plant. Analyze manufacturing variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and financial analyses to support account balances. Partner with leadership on strategic planning, annual budgeting, and execution of tactical business plans. Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cost analyses, and performance metrics. Generate reports and dashboards using ERP systems, Excel, charts, and graphs to support decision-making. Oversee inventory assessments, physical inventories, and audit activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost structures and increase profitability. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required. Experience 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or manufacturing operations. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Medical device industry experience is highly preferred. Proven track record of improving financial performance and supporting business growth. Strong ERP system experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience leading projects, teams, and cross-functional initiatives. Required Skills & Competencies Financial & Analytical Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and cost accounting. Experience analyzing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Ability to evaluate pricing, costing, and profitability. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Ability to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements. Leadership Skills Proven ability to influence stakeholders and challenge assumptions constructively. Strong project and people leadership capabilities. Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans. Communication Skills Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams. Problem-Solving Skills Strong reasoning and decision-making abilities. Ability to interpret and execute instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats. Work Environment This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures while working on the manufacturing floor. Physical Requirements Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel Requirements Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support business growth and operational. #J-18808-Ljbffr
