Business Development Director (B2B)

Who We Are Our platform connects AI models with business workflows to automate complex processes end to end. It reads documents, tickets, and internal knowledge, structures the data, and executes the right actions automatically. We work closely with clients to deliver tailored automations that fit how their business actually operates. We're a small, specialist team and we care about the quality of what we ship. LEAVE YOUR FOOTPRINT As our Director of Business Development, you get to decide what the sales function looks like, how it operates, and who joins it as we grow. You’ll join with a clear north star (growth), and the full backing of the leadership team to build something you're genuinely proud of. You'll own the full sales cycle from first touch to closed enterprise deal, and everything that makes it run predictably at scale. YOUR TALENT 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales with real revenue numbers to show for it - quotas hit, deals closed, growth driven 2+ years building or leading a sales team You've thrived in startup or scale‑up environments and you get genuinely excited about bringing structure to chaos Strong understanding of SaaS business models, sales cycles, and the metrics that actually matter Data‑driven mindset with hands‑on experience in CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot An entrepreneurial streak: you've either built a company, started something on the side, or consistently operate like it's your own business on the line Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Genuine curiosity about AI and automation – as tools that make you faster, and as a market you understand Fluent in German and English; DACH market experience is a strong plus Remote‑first mindset with strong async communication HAVE AN IMPACT Developing and executing our B2B SaaS sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets (your strategy, built your way) Identifying new market opportunities and establishing relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers Driving the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing enterprise deals Building and mentoring the sales team Collaborating with marketing, product, and customer success to align go‑to‑market strategies and create a seamless commercial engine Working closely with Customer Success to protect retention, unlock upsell opportunities, and turn happy clients into referrals Owning the data (pipeline, forecasts, sales metrics) so revenue growth is predictable Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings Leveraging AI and automation to move faster, sell smarter, and build a sales function that scales efficiently WHY KNOTS You're not inheriting someone else's vision for sales, you're creating it We're a full remote team and we trust everyone to do their role, the way they choose to: full autonomy on how you build, as long as we're growing Working directly with the CEO = you'll have a real influence over company direction Compensation that scales with what you build: base + performance tied to growth About Us We are a start‑up developing automation solutions to kill boring tasks and take customer service in Zendesk to the next level.
