Forklift Driver – High-Volume Distribution Center Job Summary The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, transporting, and staging products in a fast-paced distribution center. This role operates a forklift equipped with a double-pallet attachment to move two pallets simultaneously, maximizing productivity while maintaining safety and product quality. Operate a sit-down forklift with a double-pallet attachment to transport two pallets at a time. Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers in a high-volume warehouse environment. Move, stack, stage, and replenish palletized products accurately and efficiently. Verify product counts and inspect loads for damage before movement. Follow shipping schedules and prioritize workloads to meet productivity goals. Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse associates, and shipping personnel. Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous forklift experience in a distribution or warehouse environment required. Experience operating forklifts with double-pallet attachments preferred. Ability to safely handle high-volume loading and unloading operations. Basic math and inventory skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures. Ability to bend, reach, twist, and climb on and off equipment throughout the shift. Work Environment Fast-paced, high-volume distribution center. Frequent loading and unloading of trailers. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
