RN (Registered Nurse) – ICU / Float Pool

Contract | Night Shift (7PM–7AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU units across two campuses, including coverage for inpatients holding in the ED
• Titrate and manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips; monitor techs support PCU and MedSurg Tele, but nurses must be able to read strips independently
• Care for a diverse patient population including geriatric, orthopedic, post-procedural cardiac, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and CABG post-op patients
• Manage respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow as applicable to unit assignment
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ICU setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must be comfortable managing the majority of common titratable drips listed above
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any affiliated facility within the past year

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-cardiac cath patients, including groin site management
• Familiarity with stepdown or PCU-level care in addition to ICU experience
• Comfort working in a float pool environment across multiple units and campuses
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and monitoring in a high-acuity setting
