Program Coordinator, Center for Entrepreneurs

Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Center for Entrepreneurs. Assist with registering Center for Entrepreneurs' students, understanding their needs and coordinating services and resources for them. Maintain the schedule and use of the Podcast Studio. Assist with researching and identifying funding sources.

Collects necessary information to track the success of basic outcomes processes and procedures to support the on-going analysis and improvement of departmental efforts. Works with management to implement the communications priorities of the department and College. Leverages a sound understanding of the departmental focus to collaboratively work with colleagues to achieve goals of the department, division, and college. Contributes to the continued effectiveness of the team and department by developing and sustaining productive customer and employee relationships. Provides administrative assistance to supervisor as needed.

Essential functions include coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Center for Entrepreneurs, assisting with registering students, maintaining the schedule of the Podcast Studio, researching funding sources, providing administrative support to the Executive Director, managing schedules and calendars, responding to departmental requests, assisting with the set-up of classes and workshops, actively participating in the delivery of services and communications, maintaining communication with leadership, attending staff and project team meetings, preparing and maintaining confidential correspondence and documents, answering phones and screening incoming calls and mail, developing working relationships with key departments and employees, establishing and maintaining general office files and records, assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations and publications, aiding with College-wide projects, initiatives, and committees, selecting, training, supervising and evaluating student assistants, interns, and part-time assistants, aiding in the planning, maintaining, and monitoring of a business area's budget, and periodically working evenings and/or weekends to support events.

Required qualifications include an associate degree and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a professional office environment, or a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience, with significant related experience substituting for education. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ability to work accurately with great attention to detail, ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively, ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions, excellent customer service skills, ability to respond to requests from multiple levels of the College, working knowledge of administrative support concepts, practices, and procedures, basic project management skills, ability to handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity, ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts, and sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of the community.

Critical competencies include service focus, communications, and quality of work. Very important competencies include collaboration and adaptability. Important competencies include time utilization and continuous improvement.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, experience with College-specific software, experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team, and experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods.

Physical demands include the possibility of working evenings and/or weekends to support events, performing work in a normal, professional office environment, sitting comfortably to perform duties with repetitive motions using a computer mouse and keyboard, and walking and standing in conjunction with travel to meetings and conferences.

Target starting salary range is $45,000 to $50,000. Special note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands.
