Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Bonneville Peak Rehab

Position Overview

Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our specialized team in Oakland, California. You will be instrumental in supporting patients on their journey to recover mobility and achieve optimal physical function. With a focus on evidence-based practices, you will engage in various interventions—ranging from injury prevention to rehabilitation—designed to enhance each patient's quality of life.

About the Organization

Located within a state-of-the-art 5,000 square-foot facility, Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center is committed to providing exceptional care in an outpatient setting. Our center is equipped with advanced sports medicine technologies and personalized treatment spaces. A collaborative atmosphere, we place significant emphasis on teamwork among our two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver tailored rehabilitation services, primarily to patients with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This role offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance while fully immersing yourself in patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify individual patient goals through detailed evaluations in a supportive setting.
• Manage a caseload effectively, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure focused, quality care.
• Create personalized care plans leveraging a variety of treatment techniques tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and demonstrate expertise in developing and executing exercise regimens.
• Employ evidence-based interventions that prioritize patient safety and functional recovery.
• Continuously motivate and encourage patients during their rehabilitation, empowering them to maximize their recovery and quality of movement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment strategies and enhance patient outcomes.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment protocols and make necessary adjustments to improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Our patient demographic consists of those with private insurance, allowing for focused and personalized treatment approaches that meet individual health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a current license to practice as a Physical Therapist, free from any disciplinary actions.
• Proven competency in manual therapy techniques alongside strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills to foster an interactive patient experience.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT to ensure seamless management of patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable to ensure familiarity with both clinical procedures and patient needs.
• Knowledge and application of cost-effective treatment solutions to encourage active patient participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• A background in developing fitness and wellness programs tailored for individual patient requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience.
