Wellstar Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our onsite team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Oakland, California. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our Rehabilitation Center, you will work within a collaborative and supportive environment. You will be part of a committed team that currently includes two fellow physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). This onsite role operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while dedicating your energy to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic conditions to enhance their mobility and strength.
• Manage a caseload of patients, carefully ensuring that each individual receives personalized care, with a typical patient load of one person per hour.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and facilitate recovery.
• Develop and introduce custom fitness and rehabilitation programs that promote patient engagement and adherence.
• Provide education on injury prevention and wellness strategies to empower patients in their recovery journey.
• Measure and evaluate treatment outcomes, adapting plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring adherence to protocol and insurance requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated approach to patient rehabilitation and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to adults undergoing rehabilitation for surgical interventions. The focus is on restoring movement functionality, minimizing reliance on medications, and exploring non-invasive treatment alternatives. The care you provide will play a pivotal role in improving patients' overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current Physical Therapist license to practice in California, free from any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy and developing tailored exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, providing the foundation for effective patient treatment.
• A strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation protocols and trends in therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
