Position Overview

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a committed and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Oakland, California. This full-time, onsite role is essential for guiding patients toward regaining motion and enhancing their overall functionality. As a crucial member of our rehabilitation team, you will promote a holistic approach to treatment that encompasses prevention, diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation, all tailored to individual patient needs.

We predominantly serve patients with private medical insurance, and our facility is equipped with advanced technologies and treatment methodologies that enable us to support our patients comprehensively.

Work Environment

The role will be based in our modern clinic, where you will collaborate closely with a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life setup. We prioritize a supportive and collaborative environment where interdisciplinary teamwork enhances patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' rehabilitation goals, presenting concerns, and movement restrictions.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing individualized attention and care.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and restore movement patterns.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises, and equipment tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Educate patients on cost-effective treatment options that enhance mobility while minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Encourage and support patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering motivation and compliance.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions and care services systematically in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically using WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions for patients.

At TheraSense, our patient base primarily consists of individuals recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical patients, athletes, and those seeking preventative care. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will engage with a diverse array of individuals, crafting personalized rehabilitation strategies that reflect their specific lifestyles and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid license as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions against your professional record.
• Exhibit a strong foundation in manual therapy and exercise protocols tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the latest therapeutic techniques and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually.
