Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Outpatient Orthopedic Care

Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic practice in San Francisco, California. Work Environment

The work setting is a dynamic outpatient office located in the vibrant city of San Francisco. You will be part of a close-knit team consisting of two other licensed physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Together, you will create a supportive atmosphere that encourages collaboration and enhances patient care. The standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured but flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and design individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a caseload with an efficient pace of one patient per hour to ensure thorough care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and a variety of treatment modalities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Incorporate therapeutic exercises and wellness programs tailored to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect the evolving needs and responses of patients.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients to motivate and encourage them throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously assess treatment efficacy and provide feedback for treatment adjustments, fostering patient engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries in an orthopedic outpatient setting. The ideal therapist will engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from athletes to everyday individuals seeking to regain functionality or improve their physical health. Emphasis on the promotion of healthy lifestyle choices through personalized rehabilitation plans is paramount.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary issues on record.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in rehabilitation science.
• Ability to navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient care effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient environments is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing and conducting tailored exercise and wellness programs.
• A demonstrable history of achieving positive patient outcomes through innovative treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
