Work Environment

This role is structured in an office-based setting where you will be primarily working one-on-one with patients in an outpatient facility. You will have access to advanced rehabilitation equipment and therapy tools, as well as collaboration with a supportive team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a regular schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and establish individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal recovery outcomes.
• Engage patients in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions to enhance mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adapting treatment strategies based on outcomes and feedback in accordance with professional standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies that encompass a multidisciplinary approach to patient wellness.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and effective methods for managing pain and promoting recovery.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to maintain detailed notes on assessments, treatments delivered, and patient progress.
• Motivate patients to adhere to their rehabilitation programs, offering encouragement and support throughout their treatment journey.
• Work with a case-load of one patient per hour, ensuring focused, high-quality care during each appointment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic injuries and conditions that require specialized therapeutic interventions. Most patients may possess private medical insurance, which allows them to access our comprehensive rehabilitation services. You will encounter a diverse group ranging from athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to older adults regaining strength after surgery. Each treatment plan will be uniquely tailored to match the individual needs, ensuring effective rehabilitation for all.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with comprehensive educational training in the field.
• Possess a valid California Physical Therapist license with no history of disciplinary action against it.
• Exhibit strong manual therapy skills and a demonstrated ability in assessing and managing orthopedic conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, preferably in a private practice.
• Proficient in developing and implementing tailored exercise regimens and wellness programs.
• Competence in using EMR software platforms, particularly WebPT, to enhance documentation efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
