Job TitleAssists receiving department, performing clerical duties involved in the receiving of materials.Job DescriptionUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Routes items to departments.Keeps records on incoming shipments and returns.Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.May direct others in receiving incoming shipments.Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft office applicationsForklift ExperienceEducation:HS diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:No experience required, but 1+ years of warehouse experience preferred.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsManufacturing EnvironmentLift up to 50 lbs. regularlyRequires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of timeVision abilities required to validate and enter data on computerDisclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands.
