If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job Summary(CT/X-Ray) — South Fulton Freestanding EDWe are seeking an experienced CT Technologist with X-Ray experience to join the team launching our brand-new Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) at South Fulton Emergency Care.This is a unique opportunity to help build a strong clinical foundation from day one while supporting high-acuity emergency imaging in a modern, patient-centered environment.About South Fulton Emergency CareGrady’s new Freestanding Emergency Department represents our commitment to expanding access to expert, compassionate emergency care in the South Fulton community.The 24/7 emergency department will treat adults and children experiencing critical, urgent, and time-sensitive conditions in a modern, community-based setting.Facility HighlightsThe new Emergency Center will feature:16 exam rooms, including two resuscitation rooms for high-acuity emergencies4 observation rooms for extended monitoringAdvanced imaging services (CT, X-ray, and ultrasound)Efficiently designed clinical spaces to support rapid patient flowA modern waiting area for families and loved onesA dedicated community room for health education eventsThis facility is a full-service emergency department not an urgent care or primary care clinic. It is designed to treat serious medical emergencies requiring immediate care.SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs comprehensive computed tomography imaging for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across multiple body planes. This role supports the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging for interpretation across the Grady Health System, including the main hospital campus and the Grady freestanding emergency department.The CT Technologist effectively utilizes all imaging capabilities of the CT scanner, associated equipment, and advanced imaging technologies to ensure optimal image acquisition. The technologist maintains the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care in both inpatient and emergency care environments.This position plays a critical role in optimizing patient flow, supporting efficient study throughput, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely diagnostic results within high-acuity settings.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required.Associate’s Degree from an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist required.Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist.Must maintain ARRT credentials in good standing through continuing education (CE) compliance and annual license renewal.Core CompetenciesThese competencies reflect the values and behaviors expected of all Grady team members, regardless of role.
