Journeyman Cnc Lathe MachinistIntuitive designs and manufactures highly complex mechanical systems for use in surgery. The Machine Shop is responsible for providing support to development, engineering and manufacturing. This support includes both internal fabrication and modification of mechanical components.We are a small team seeking a skilled machinist who has good communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be capable of high quality work on a variety of machine shop equipment and must be a team player with a "can do" attitude. We offer competitive pay and great benefits in a friendly, professional and challenging work environment.QualificationsRequired Education, Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience and a High school diploma/Secondary education or equivalent; vocational training and/or on-the-job trainingComfortable working with all general shop equipment (i.e. grinders, saws, drills etc.)Safety conscious and capable of inspecting own workPlan jobs/set-ups, to a high degree of accuracyPerform accurate inspections and verificationAbility to interpret drawings, charts, sketches, specifications, and other documentation for parts to be machinedStrong mechanical and technical abilities/experienceKnowledge of the machining properties of various materialsAbility to work as a team member and supervise others as neededPreferred Skills & ExperienceAbility to program setup/operate ProtoTRAK mill and latheExperience with CNC and manual mill and latheDemonstrated ability to assist in job planning, scheduling and training of other team membersAbility to interpret and understand technical drawings and CAD filesExperience operating band saws and other shop equipmentCapable of assisting in fabricating prototype components and assemblies in support of product development with other team membersModify production materials as required per rework instructionsMastercam programming experience
