Human Resources Generalist The Human Resources Generalist will maintain and enhance the organization’s Human Resources functions through planning, implementation, and evaluation of HR policies, programs, wage and salary administration, training, employee relations, and compliance (EEO, affirmative action, etc.). Responsibilities Keep abreast of local, state, and national labor laws and HR best practices; ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws. Advise management and employees on legal concerns pre‑emptively and reactively. Maintain, enforce, and recommend improvements to company policies, procedures and processes. Maintain HRIS records and compile reports. Participate in onboarding, including pre‑employment items, employment agreements and related HRIS entries. Guard employee confidentiality and protect company operations by keeping HR information confidential. Aid managers with progressive discipline, training, witnessing and proper documentation of events. Submit employee data reports, including turnover, census and EEO data. Administer workplace safety policies in partnership with risk management; report all accidents and injuries. Assist with employee‑relations investigations and represent the company at hearings. Update employee status change data. Assist with due diligence and acquisition preparation. Provide onsite support for HR projects and acquisition needs. Sort and distribute HR mail. Coordinate employee events as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required. Nationally accredited HR certificate preferred (e.g., SHRM SCP or CP, HRCI PHR or SPHR). 3‑5 years Human Resources Generalist experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math, customer service, problem‑solving, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Proficient in computer use and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems. Valid driver’s license with acceptable record. Compliance with drug and alcohol policy and background screening. Willingsness to travel up to 30% of the time. Benefits Paid vacation and holidays.
