Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing, multi-site organization. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions across multiple business locations while partnering closely with operations and finance leadership to improve reporting, streamline processes, and leverage technology to drive efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant with a solid understanding of GAAP, experience in a multi-location environment, and a passion for utilizing modern technology—including advanced Excel capabilities and AI tools such as Claude—to automate processes, improve reporting, and enhance decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage the month-end and year-end close process for multiple business locations. Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to finance and operational leadership. Partner with site leadership to ensure consistent accounting policies and financial controls across multiple locations. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit requests. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows through automation and technology. Utilize advanced Excel functions and AI platforms such as Claude to increase productivity, streamline reporting, assist with documentation, and improve analytical capabilities. Participate in ERP enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional finance projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience supporting multiple business units, plants, or locations. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting responsibilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and complex formulas. Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve accounting efficiency and reporting is highly preferred. Experience working within an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Infor, Sage, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance and operational teams. CPA or CPA-track is a plus but not required. Process automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Business intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
