SBA Underwriter

As a remote SBA Underwriter, the candidate will analyze and underwrite SBA loan applications for small and mid-size businesses, ensuring compliance with SBA guidelines while managing the underwriting process and serving as a liaison among stakeholders. Key responsibilities Analyze SBA loan applications and assess creditworthiness to structure compliant loan deals Prepare detailed credit approval requests and manage communication between credit administration, sales teams, and borrowers Identify and mitigate credit weaknesses while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements Required qualifications 3-5 years of direct SBA underwriting experience with knowledge of SBA SOP and products Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent education with formal credit training preferred Skilled in financial analysis, report interpretation, and loan structuring Strong understanding of financial products, services, and applicable regulations Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
