About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Endoscopy experience required PACU experience preferred 1:1 patient ratio experience required Description: This position requires 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Staff will be involved in a variety of endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy. Candidates should be comfortable circulating in the operating room and managing patient care throughout procedures. Experience with monitoring conscious sedation is essential. Staff will be responsible for starting and maintaining IVs. Daily patient census is between 60 to 70 cases with a ratio of 1:3 during day shifts. Interdisciplinary support is available, and teamwork is crucial for patient success. Patient populations include adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. Common patient diagnoses involve active GI bleeding, GERD, and various forms of biliary tract disease. Candidates should possess experience with specialized equipment used in endoscopic procedures. Additional responsibilities may include specimen collection and post-procedure care. Travelers should be prepared for strict compliance and credentialing requirements.
