Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join their team in Peebles, OH and provide end-user support. This technician must be based in OH.SCHEDULE: (onsite) Saturday, Sunday, Monday 9:00am - 9:00pm AND (remote) Tuesday 8:00am - 12:00pmDuties and Responsibilities:Repair, test, image and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardwareMaintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals. Ability to set up, configure, and add all hardwarePerform install, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshesEnsure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attentionAssist with installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities of server equipmentPerform backup, recovery, and security procedures both planned or during emergencyFollow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applicationsAssist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problemsPerform approved installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical networkPerform network system administration task both planned or during emergencyComfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's siteBack up and burn end user dataAssist in developing and documenting improvements to current processesAssist other coworkers in resolution of end users' technical issues across the programAssist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalationsSkills and Qualifications:Experience with asset managementUse a confident, positive attitude to deliver great customer experience and to be invigorated by constant personal interactionDemonstrate high energy given fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connect network printers) as wellWorking experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Win10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systemsHaving experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plusStrong understanding / work experience of server and network support within an enterprise. Support being provided is Hands & FeetAbility to work with strong personalitiesManaging stress while being able to deescalate tense users is a key attributeGet work done independently, and for attendance for availability to work scheduled hoursTrusted to work proactively is a key attribute given limited site IT LeadersAbility to handle multiple projectsExperience working in an enterprise environmentBe physically able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl and climbBe able to be on their feet and walk potentially a good portion of the day while visiting customers' work areaWage Range: The rate for this position is between $20.25 - $27.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
