Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a full-time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work weekdays, Monday through Friday, in a supportive educational environment with a 35-hour workweek.
You will work with a diverse caseload spanning K-12, fostering growth, engagement, and individual achievement for students with unique learning needs. As the ECSE teacher, your expertise will make a lasting impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Colorado teaching certification/license is required
- Background or experience in Special Education, specifically with early childhood populations
- Proven ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Flexibility and organizational skills to manage a caseload across multiple grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Plan, assess, and facilitate individualized developmental and educational programs for early childhood through high school students
- Deliver instruction in compliance with IEP goals and state regulations
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, families, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress documentation
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of student needs and learning styles
- Participate in staff meetings, IEP conferences, and relevant professional development
