Make a meaningful difference supporting middle and high school students with significant needs as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This contracted position offers the opportunity to work with students who have high-level autism and follow the extended content standard, ensuring they receive individualized attention and support each day.

Key Details:

• Contract length: August 13, 2026 – June 3, 2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm (up to 40 hours weekly)
• Caseload: 15-18 middle and high school students
• School setting: Focus on students with high-level autism, adapted curriculum

Desired Qualifications:

• Current license in Adapted Curriculum (Required)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students on the autism spectrum and knowledge of extended content standards
• Skill in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, paraprofessionals, therapists, and colleagues
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction utilizing adapted curriculum to support individualized student goals
• Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and collaborate on IEP development and implementation
• Maintain detailed records and communicate progress with families and educational team members
• Foster independence and life skills, preparing students for long-term success
