Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP required. Must-Have: Traveler experience required. Experience with LDRP and Mother/Baby care. Ability to assist with sterile speculum exams, including effacement, dilation, station, and presentation. Proficient in the use of External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and Internal Fetal Monitoring. Skilled in the recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Knowledge in breastfeeding support and lactation assistance. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The unit provides care for both labor and delivery and postpartum patients. You will be required to manage patient ratios of 1:4 while providing high-quality care. The role includes floating to assist other units as needed but not taking assignments. Mandatory call shifts are required as per the schedule. Every other weekend availability is necessary. You will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses, including LDRP and Mother/Baby cases. Familiarity with EPIC for documentation and communication is preferred. Skills in managing high-risk deliveries and postpartum protocols are essential.
