FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Floor Technician – Full Time – Winthrop University, 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730 (other locations within the school district available). Remote format only accepted online applications. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM (full‑time). Flexibility for full and part‑time schedules as needed. Pay Range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour. Required Experience: Previous floor technician experience required. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration and operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor surfaces. Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstered surfaces including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
