Retail Keyholder (Store 3927)

Retail Keyholder supports store management in executing and supervising store activities with moderate supervision. The role is focused on providing outstanding guest service, maintaining the visual and operational standards of the store, and supporting the sales team to achieve store goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions and concerns courteously, assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade‑in program, recommend additional items, apply all selling behaviors, and express gratitude to every guest. Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system, ensuring top‑notch service. Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly and professionally. Promote GameStop’s unique guest benefits, such as the title reservation program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program. Maintain the store’s cleanliness and merchandising according to company guidelines; keep all fixtures and equipment in working order. Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss‑prevention practices, including scam awareness, safety best practices, and bank deposit procedures. Conduct store inventory counts, stock and restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from the stock room to the front of the store to ensure all items are represented, organized, and alphabetized. Support management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties. Count, balance and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system and complete related paperwork and bank deposit slips. Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages, record discrepancies in the POS system and report to the Store Manager, Store Manager 2, or Assistant Store Manager as needed. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring boxes are properly labeled and include packing lists. Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management. Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including those in the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow all opening and closing procedures. Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.QUALIFICATIONS*
Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Minimum 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exceptional guest service skills. Provide genuine and friendly assistance to every guest during each visit. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, both in person and on the phone; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment. Meet associate performance expectations including attendance, professional dress, and grooming. Operate the POS computer system and complete required paperwork. Basic math skills and alphabetizing skills. Self‑motivation and ability to work as a team to complete tasks timely. Problem‑solving skills and sound judgment. Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Deliver bank deposits following loss‑prevention safety guidelines. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays (minimum 3 days per week). Remain effective under pressure and handle stress appropriately. Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift merchandise up to 30 lbs. Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day. *Certain state‑specific exceptions may apply. This position accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
