Athletic Trainer - Field Ergonomics & Mobility

Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered.Role and Scope of Position:Eversource Energy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) – Field Ergonomics & Mobility to deliver on-site and field-based services focused on injury prevention, early discomfort screening, ergonomic risk reduction, and functional improvement within an industrial and occupational environment.This role applies professional knowledge of biomechanics, ergonomics, mobility, and injury-prevention principles to support safe work practices.The Athletic Trainer will work closely with employees, safety professionals, and leadership to reduce musculoskeletal risk, promote sustainable work practices, and support employee well-being and productivity.Activities performed within the scope of athletic training shall be limited to ergonomics, mobility, injury-prevention education, and non-diagnostic screening functions as authorized by Company policy and applicable professional licensure requirements. The Certified Athletic Trainer does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, does not direct employee medical care, does not determine fitness for duty, and does not make determinations as to whether injuries are work-related in nature.Essential Functions:Injury Prevention & Early Discomfort ScreeningProvide ergonomic coaching and non-diagnostic screening for employees reporting discomfort associated with work tasks or physical demands.Deliver injury prevention, early discomfort screening, ergonomic risk reduction, and safe-work education.Provide ergonomic observations and task-design recommendations for consideration by Safety, Operations, and applicable management personnel.Maintain confidentiality of employee information and comply with Company policies concerning privacy, OSHA recordkeeping, workers' compensation, ADA, and related legal requirements.Coordinate with appropriate Safety representatives when circumstances require medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, work restrictions, or fitness-for-duty determinations.Ergonomics & Field AssessmentsConduct ergonomic field assessments in industrial, field, and office environmentsIdentify physical risk factors related to posture, repetition, force, vibration, and material handlingProvide clear, practical ergonomic recommendations including workstation adjustments, task redesign, and tool or equipment considerationsDocument ergonomic observations and communicate safety-focused recommendations in accordance with Company privacy, records-management, and confidentiality requirements.Mobility & EducationLead group-based mobility, stretching, and movement preparation sessions tailored to job-specific physical demandsDesign and implement targeted programs aimed at reducing common occupational injuriesDevelop and deliver educational presentations and training on ergonomics, injury prevention, and musculoskeletal healthProgram Support & CollaborationCollaborate with safety and management teams to identify trends, address injury risks, and support continuous program improvementTrack participation, outcomes, and trends to inform program effectivenessMaintain accurate documentation of ergonomic activities, observations, coaching activities, and safety recommendations consistent with Company privacy and records-management requirements.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Valid Driver’s LicenseStrong communication, presentation, and coaching skillsAbility to work independently in field-based and on-site environments Preferred:Experience in industrial, occupational, or field-based settingsFamiliarity with ergonomics or workplace injury prevention programsEducation/Licenses & Certifications:Graduate from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training programHold an active, unrestricted New Hampshire Athletic Trainer License Experience:Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experienceWorking Conditions:Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.Must be available to travel throughout the state of NH to all the Area Work CentersPlease submit a resume with your application.#LI-ES3!Competencies:Build trusting relationshipsManage and develop peopleFoster teamwork and cross-functional collaborationLead changeCommunicate strategic visionCreate an engaged workforceFocus on the customerTake ownership & accountabilityCompensation and Benefits:Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.
