BayCare's Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) Internship offers a structured pathway for RNs looking to build specialized skills in pediatric cardiac critical care at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. You'll care for children with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions while working alongside a highly specialized multidisciplinary team.

At St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, home to more than 170 pediatric specialists across 25 disciplines, you'll work alongside nationally recognized experts while caring for some of the region's most complex pediatric patients in a family-centered environment.

Internship Program Overview

Start Date: January 4th, 2027

Location: St. Joseph's Children's Hospital - Tampa, FL

Length: 24 weeks

Schedule: Full-time (72 hours per pay period)- Rotating day/night shifts during training ? Full-time night shift during work agreement

Commitment: Hours-based agreement begins once training is completed

What You'll Experience

Qualifications

Required:

• Active RN license by December 1, 2026
• BLS Certification
• ASN/ADN degree or higher

Preferred:

• 1+ year of RN experience in acute care
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
