These managers are the ones who help keep our centers operating efficiently. They manage a team of mechanics who are responsible for the operation of their center’s pinsetters, pinspotters, automatic scoring machines, lanes, and other equipment found throughout the facility. They’re involved with all center maintenance and repairs, providing leadership to their team and support to the General Manager (to whom they report). ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This role involves the following key responsibilities: KEEP EVERYTHING RUNNING SMOOTHLY Manage the center’s day-to-day operations from a technical perspective. ASSEMBLE AN ALL-STAR TEAM Recruit, hire, train, and schedule B- and C-Mechanics in conjunction with the General Manager. TRAIN THEM WELL Provide training and instruction in machine area, safety procedures, building maintenance, and preventative maintenance. MONITOR & MAINTAIN Ensure compliance with laws, OSHA safety practices, and policies. Maintain machine stop records and summaries to determine repairs. Schedule routine maintenance of HVAC, roof, plumbing, electrical, life/safety systems. PLAN. BUDGET. IMPROVE. Assist in planning and budgeting for center repairs and upgrades. Obtain bids for routine and emergency repairs/maintenance. Suggest improvements to reduce environmental impact and cost. REMAIN FLEXIBLE Work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended days as needed. WHO YOU ARE You’re an experienced, technically proficient manager and a strong team player who can troubleshoot and resolve center technical issues swiftly. You’re comfortable supervising a team of mechanics and clearly communicate your department’s needs. You have a strong desire to grow and develop the talent and skill of your staff. DESIRED SKILLS 5+ Years of Bowling Mechanic Experience Solid Communication Skills Strong Team Player Staff Supervision Ability to walk, bend, stand, and lift as necessary WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS Typical entertainment environment where you will walk, bend, stand for periods of time, and may lift objects with some assistance.
