a.café is a sophisticated take on a European-style café and espresso bar, serving artisan coffees, organic loose-leaf teas, and delicious breakfast options.

We are seeking a talented cook to join our team and become an integral part of our culinary journey. Offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Cook to showcase their talent, learn from experienced chefs and contribute to our growing success. You will prepare dishes that meet AKA's expectations for flavor, aroma, and visual appeal, maintain sanitary standards and maintain high level of organization in the kitchen.

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Execute food preparation with precision and creativity, bringing our delectable menu to life.
• Collaborate closely with our experienced culinary team to maintain consistency and uphold our high standards.
• Ensure that food is prepared according to recipes and plate presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Embrace a fast-paced environment and effectively manage time to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
• Display a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each dish is visually appealing and meets quality standards.
• Continuously expand your culinary knowledge and stay updated with emerging trends and techniques.
• Enhance kitchen and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Passionate individuals with an energetic, self-motivating and a “can do” positive attitude.
• At least 1-2 years of previous kitchen experience preferably chef-driven, full-service café or hotel setting
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in English (written and oral).
• Food Handlers Licensed preferred.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidays.
