FlexTrades is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (Creo) to support both new product development and sustaining engineering efforts utilizing Creo.Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.Products may include rotating mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, turbines, compressors, valves, power transmission equipment, and similar mechanical systems.This position supports a major manufacturing client near Cleveland, Ohio. FlexTrades has paid travel time, paid lodging, and daily per diem.Contract Details:• $65.00/hour• Guaranteed 50 hours per week (10 hours paid at time-and-a-half)• Climate-controlled facility• Travel pay provided• Company-paid lodging• Daily per diemKey ResponsibilitiesThis role is ideal for engineers with experience designing rotating and precision mechanical components such as pumps, valves, shafts, bearings, seals, gears, and pressure-containing assembliesCandidates should possess strong Creo design skills, a solid foundation in GD&T and tolerance analysis, and the ability to support products throughout the full lifecycle from concept development through testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement.Design and support aerospace fluid management products including pumps, valves, seals, shafts, bearings, gears, splines, and pressure-containing assembliesDevelop mechanical concepts, 3D models, detailed designs, engineering drawings, and design documentation using CreoPerform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups, design analysis, and GD&T applicationSupport material selection, heat treatment specifications, and casting design considerationsAnalyze product and test data to evaluate performance, reliability, and design effectivenessInvestigate field returns, nonconformances, and product performance issues to determine root cause and corrective actionsSupport engineering change orders (ECOs), design revisions, and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in product development, sustaining engineering, and FMEA activities while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and test engineering teamsQualifications5-10+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experienceProficiency with Creo CAD softwareExperience designing mechanical components such as shafts, bearings, seals, gears, splines, valves, and pressure-containing housingsStrong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and stack-up calculationsExperience performing mechanical design analysis and engineering calculationsKnowledge of material selection, heat treatment processes, and cast component designExperience evaluating product performance and analyzing test data for mechanical systemsAbility to assess product conformity/nonconformity and support engineering disposition activitiesExperience conducting or supporting Design FMEA and Process FMEA activitiesPay and Benefits:Pay: $65.00 per hourGuaranteed 10 hours OT pay each week.
