Laboratory AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated laboratory assistant to support our testing operations. The successful candidate will assist the team in sample preparation and ensure the smooth running of daily lab activities.ResponsibilitiesAssist with incoming sample preparation and manage a high volume of samples daily.Help with weighing samples and plating procedures.Enter sample data into management systems in a timely manner.Complete lab testing on all incoming samples and ensure sample turnaround goals are met.Verify results and submit them for transmission.Identify non-conformances and out-of-specification results.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in sample preparation, lab testing, and biology.Proficiency in lab techniques such as pipetting, assays, dilutions, media preparation, aseptic techniques, and staining.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Life Sciences with 0-1 years of experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a laboratory setting, requiring standing for extended periods and handling a high volume of samples. The position includes overtime and requires availability from Sunday to Thursday, 1pm to 9:30pm.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
