Dispensary Manager

As Dispensary Manager youll lead a Bavarian-inspired (or regionally relevant) retail location within a fast-growing 51200 person team dedicated to product excellence and elevated service. Youll own day-to-day retail operations, coach and develop a knowledgeable staff, ensure strict regulatory compliance, drive sales and profitability, and create memorable customer journeys that reflect Altius commitment to quality. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a regulated environment and wants to build something exceptional in the cannabis industry.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling and performance management for the store team.
- Ensure full compliance with state and local cannabis regulations and company policies; maintain audit-ready records.
- Manage inventory, product receiving, cycle counts and seed-to-sale reconciliation to protect assets.
- Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations and loss-prevention practices.
- Drive sales, customer experience, merchandising and local community engagement to meet and exceed KPIs and P&L targets.
- Partner with corporate teams on promotions, new product launches and operational improvements.
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming retail environment that reflects Altius high standards.

Salary

$55000 - $60000 USD per year

Required Skills

- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience; minimum 12 years in cannabis retail strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills: hiring, coaching, scheduling and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of state cannabis regulations and experience operating in a highly regulated retail environment.
- Proven experience with inventory control, loss-prevention, and cash management procedures.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic comfort with seed-to-sale or inventory management platforms.
- Excellent customer service, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze basic sales and operational metrics and take action to meet targets.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Desired Skills

- Experience with METRC, BioTrack or other seed-to-sale reporting systems.
- Prior success managing P&L or meeting store-level financial targets.
- Experience scaling a retail team or working within a multi-state operator.
- Strong product knowledge across flower, concentrates, edibles and accessories.
- Familiarity with retail merchandising, local marketing and community outreach.
- Retail or HR certifications, supervisory training, or a degree in business/retail management.
- Bilingual skills or proven experience serving diverse customer communities.
- Experience with workforce scheduling tools and advanced POS analytics.
