Clinical Staff - Medical ServicesThe Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Clinical Services Manager (CSM) is a clinical leadership position within the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) on the main UAMS campus. It is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the designated clinic/units, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)5 or more years of experience in the field of Nursing, with 3 years nursing management/leadership experience (recent acute psychiatry experience preferred)Registered Nurse license in the state of Arkansas by the State Board of NursingStrong interpersonal and communication skills, flexible, ability to independently problem solveMust possess strong leadership and mentoring abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)At least 5 years of nursing experience, and 3 years of nursing inpatient management/leadership experience (3 years of acute psychiatry experience)Scheduling for inpatient, knowledge and skill to interpret and apply clinical inpatient attendance policiesJob Requirements:The CSM is responsible for leading, managing and mentoring 90+ inpatient staff.The CSM reports to the BHSL Senior Director of Nursing and is part of a team that supports the daily operations of the BHSL Adult Inpatient Unit and the Interventional Psychiatry Hospital-Based Outpatient Department.The CSM identifies problems impacting patient care activities and assists in the ongoing evaluation of the unit's goals for patient care.The CSM will attend meetings and participate on various BHSL and hospital committees and will be part of a team that ensures adherence to UAMS standards of patient care.Employees in this role may be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training (currently Level 2 & 3 Vistelar) to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within 6 months of hire.Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to Apply:License or Certificate (see special instructions for submission instructions), List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeOptional Documents:Special Instructions to ApplicantsRecruitment Contact Information:Please contact View email address on click.appcast.io for any recruiting related questions.All application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.Pre-employment Screening RequirementsAdult Maltreatment, Annual TB Screening, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse TestingThis position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
