Senior Financial Analyst I - Accounts Payable

Position Overview Responsible for financial & operational aspects of accounting operations as it relates to the Accounts Payable Departments. Acts as a liaison to all corporate departments and the vendor community, resolves operational issues and provides sound business advice based on the department’s standards. Key Responsibilities Update and evaluate information presented in weekly and monthly reporting. Prepare account analysis and variance reporting. Assist in the preparation of client assistance deliverables for quarterly and annual financial statement audits, as well as special projects and ad‑hoc reporting. Play an active role in new system implementations and ongoing system administration. Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly management reporting of financial results for assigned areas within the Accounting Operation Area. Communicate routinely with all functional areas regarding financial and operational issues and deliverables. Use financial data to provide practical advice to business partners and management to drive business results. Ensure understanding and application of accounting principles, internal controls, SOX compliance for all processes and procedures. Prepare and analyze client assistance deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis. Facilitate the integration of business processes, technology, and people to provide useful information to the leadership team. Contribute to system implementation and special projects to improve efficiency and performance. Develop, train, and support staff development; cross‑train in all accounting areas. Research and resolve inquiries from all functional areas and outside clients. Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintain accurate records and control reports.
