Shifts may vary based on operational needs. Assignment length is 20 weeks with winter coverage focus; 13-week assignments also accepted. Must work at least every other holiday. Highlights: Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with potential to float to similar patient populations including emergency department ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration assessments completed during orientation Rotating shift schedule designed to accommodate both day and night preferences Contract extension opportunities available for up to 18 months Major academic medical center environment with comprehensive resources and support Pre-start modules required with billable orientation hours Requirements: Active and permanent Ohio RN license or Compact state license required at time of submission Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry specialty (preferably within one location but can be combined) Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted) Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required Current ACLS certification required Current NIHSS certification required Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Director reference from specialty area within past 12 months required COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Influenza vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Medical/Surgical Telemetry position offers the chance to work in a premier academic healthcare environment while gaining diverse experience across multiple units caring for similar patient populations.
