Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, contract support, cost analysis, and procurement activities while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Source materials, parts, and services to support business operations.

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders.

• Support supplier selection, sourcing, and procurement activities.

• Build and maintain supplier relationships.

• Support contract negotiations, pricing analysis, and commercial terms.

• Analyze supplier costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Execute purchasing strategies and commodity plans.

• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and cost.

• Resolve supplier issues and ensure timely material availability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations.

• Maintain procurement documentation and purchasing records.

• Utilize SAP for purchasing and procurement transactions.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 4+ years of procurement, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain experience; OR

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of procurement, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain experience; OR

• Master's Degree; OR

• JD/PhD; OR

• 6+ years of relevant procurement or logistics experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Government procurement experience.

• SAP purchasing experience.

• Experience working in a global procurement environment.

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

• Technical purchasing experience.
